Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima

Happy 31st of January Geekers! (althou it's not an special date...)
Today I wanna talk about a series which cought me from the very beginning, Fairy Tail. It's a shonen anime-manga (I think you've already realised that's my favourite ;)) with a lot of humor.
It's about a young fire magician called Natsu who is looking for his adoptive father, a dragon, all around the world. His tireless search leads him to take part of a guild (a place where a large number of magicians meet) called Fairy Tail, which is famous because of the disasters it's magicians usually make. One day, Natsu meets a young blonde woman named Lucy who wants to enter into his guild, after an adventure together (and I don't mean a love adventure) Natsu decides to take Lucy to Fairy Tail who finally becomes a member. This is the beginning of a really exciting and crazy adventure.
Natsu, first character

As I said it's an anime that cought me from the very beginning. I've got to say that the first chapters are really funny but they have nothing to do with the story that comes after, as in all series. You'll laugh, cry... and won't blink, because you won't want to lose a detail.
It's full of amezing and extraordinary fights in which there's not only showed the strenght the Fairy Tail magicians have, also how they'll have to test their wit and skills. This anime does not lack anything, it has action, romances (unrelated to the principal story), humor and originality. Although the theme of protecting friends with a supernatural power is not new, this series is a completely innovative experience.
This man on the left is Hiro Mashima the mangaka who created Fairy Tail. He's got some other works like Monster Hunter Orage, Rave Master, Mashima-en and Monster Soul. In 2008, he got the prime of the mangaka of the year because of his work... ¡Fairy Tail!
I haven't got much information about him but that he was hurted because of the tsunami in Japan not a long time ago. He fractured both arms, but he's now recovered and ready to delight us with his fantastic manga and anime Fairy Tail.
Below there's a photo people made to ask for help for Japan, I PRAYED FOR JAPAN.
I'll see you soon Geekers! Thanks a lot! ;)

Blue Exorcist / Ao no Exorcist by Kazue Katoh

Hi Geekers!
Todays update is about the Blue Exorcist (manga name) / Ao no Exorcist (anime name) anime-manga. I would clasify it into shonen category as it meets all requirements ;)
Is a story about a problematic teenager, Rin Okumura, whose parents are death. He's got a twin brother called Yukio whose character is completly the oposite. When their mother dies, an old priest, Shirou Fujimoto, who is also a prestigious exorcist, takes care of them.
Rin can't stop fighting with others because he wants to protect the weaks from the bullies, but one day he starts a fight with the wrong guy. That guy was possessed by Astaroth, the famous demon. He gets angry and tries to kill Rin with a hot rod. At that moment, when Rin sees his life is in danger, he gets engulfed in blue flames. When Astaroth sees this, he kneels and calls Rin "young master". Inmediatly Shirou appears and takes Rin away. On the way he confesses that Rin is the son of Satán, the king of demons.
Rin Okumura, the main character
A few hours later, Astaroth appears at their church and Shirou dies. Because of the murder of his adoptive father Rin decides to became an exorcist even being a demon.
I'm not telling anymore because it's a lot better to see it! ;)
Kazue Kato's profile photo
from Twitter and blog
The author of this awesome anime-maga is Kazue Kato (who already had another work, "Boku to Usagi"). She's a young mangaka (she is just 30 years old) who debuted at the age of 19 when she won the pize Tezea Aguard.

She's got a Twitter account, which I don't understad because it's written in japanese but I follow, and a blog which she updates less frequently. (The links are included below).
Today I just wanted to recommend you this series that I think you all will like ;)
See you soon Geekers! ;) bye bye ~

Bleach Game - Soul Resurrection

Todays upload is about the Bleach game "Soul Resurrection" that was crated not long ago by NIS America.
It's a Playstation 3 game for a single player (which is definitely a pitty). It contains a lot of violence, as in the anime, but it's very well done. The graphics are nice, looks like manga (if someone has ever played Naruto can imagine it).
It has different play modes, History mode, Mission, Arcade and Online. It also has a section called Collection, here are saved those figures you keep unlocking while completing levels and missions for you to see them later.
The history mode is not from the very beginning, it starts when Ichigo (CAUTION WITH THE SPOILERS) arrives to Hueco Mundo. There are different characters we can play with, Ichigo, Rukia, Byakuya, Zaraki, Hollowfied Ichigo, Yoruichi, Hitsugaya... and others. Playing it's easy, the only thing you've got to do is kill hollows and low level espadas before you battle the boss, just as in any game. The Mission mode follows the same playing guide but you've got some restrictions which make them a little harder.
The game is in english, but I advice you to put the voices in japanese and to let the subtitles in english 'cause the english voices are horrible.
I bought the game some months ago and I can really say it's entertaining and easy to play. The movements variety between characters it's very well done and it follows the anime and manga history faithfully.
It was expensive when I bought it but I don't how how much is it now... sorry T___T
I just wanted to tell you that if you are Bleach fans, you might buy this game! ;)
Don't forget to recommend my blog to others if you like it plase!
See you soon Geekers! Bye bye ~

Japan Weekend!

Hi Geekers!
Todays updating is about the Japan Weekend of Madrid. Every year there's a celebration for "geeks" which love manga, anime, computer games and so. I've never been there but I would like to go this year. I found yesterday the oficial website of the event (which is included at the end of the update). There you'll find all the information, how to go, activities, ticket prices...
An information which is not really well explained on the web site is the anticrisis ticket. This ticket is especial because it is included the whole colection on DVD of an anime series. It's price is 10€ as the two days pass BUT it is only for one day. (I'm telling you this because what I first thought was that it was a ticket for two days... T__T). This tickets are limited!
Well, I'm pretty sure it willl be possible for me to go there this year and I'm going to write the experience here! I'm going to go cosplayed so I'll probably upload a photo of my Rin Okumura female version (from Ao no exorcist / Blue Exorcist made by Kazue Katoh) cosplay *-*
Well, see you soon Geekers! Have a nice geekday! ;)

Opening!

Hello and wellcome to Geek!
I'm an spanish 18-year-old-girl who loves anime, manga and those kind of things. I've decided to crate this blog because of two different things:
- I wanted to practice my English, even if it is just on writing.
- I wanted to express myself.

I have some other blogs where I write in spanish but I don't usually update them. Now we've made the presentation let's talk about what I'm going to write here.
I'm not pretty sure about it but I would like to talk about anime and manga series, their characters and stories... I know myself and I know that some times I will write about my strange thinkings of the metro... hahaha ^^

Well I hope this blog will have more public than my others!
I'm waiting for your visits Geeks!
Oh! I nearly forgot it! the ones reading this blog will be named Geekers ;)
We'll be in contact soon Geekers! Bye bye =^.^=
